B&M’s team of engineers meticulously designed the Hi-Tek differential covers to not only exhibit a striking appearance but also to address several shortcomings of factory stamped steel covers. The covers are crafted from robust A356.0-T6 aluminum, known for its superior heat dissipation capabilities compared to factory steel units. This design helps maintain lower fluid temperatures, especially under high-stress loads, providing optimal performance.
To enhance durability, a reinforced center bar and load bolts were integrated to prevent bearing cap deflection during severe loads, ensuring long-lasting strength. The internal shape of the cover retains a smooth, round back, facilitating fluid flow over the ring gear to effectively lubricate gears and bearings. Additional features include a magnetic drain plug for easy servicing, a natural finish, a machined B&M logo, and all necessary hardware. The installation process is made simple with detailed instructions, enabling a quick and straightforward at-home installation. Note: Gasket not included.
