Designed for dedicated Ford enthusiasts seeking optimal performance, the MSD distributor boasts an easily adjustable mechanical advance assembly situated just beneath the brass terminals of the cap and rotor. Crafted from chro-moly steel, the assembly undergoes TIG welding for robustness and is coated with QPQ for enhanced durability. The precision weights smoothly glide on nylon bushings, and a variety of advance curves can be achieved with the assortment of supplied springs and stop bushings.
The steel shaft responsible for spinning the advance and reluctor features a friction-reducing coating, guided by a sealed ball bearing and a lengthy sintered bushing. This harmonious combination ensures stable timing signals and consistent spark delivery across all rpm levels. Triggering is entrusted to MSD’s race-proven, maintenance-free magnetic pick-up.
