This power drives the reduced 4.4:1 gear set, delivering substantial torque to engage the engine’s ring gear and set it in motion. The armature, balanced during assembly, is guided by two ball bearings, ensuring smooth engagement and enduring thousands of starts. The downsized housing facilitates compatibility with most headers and oil pans.
